Love it or loathe it, knowing how to maximize your social media posts are an important part of your overall digital strategy. Why would you post important news in the middle of the night when your followers are sleeping?

Knowing when and where to post can help drive forward your social media goals, increase engagement and make communicating with your followers a real joy!

If you use the following networks and are not sure when and how often you should be posting, check out the details below.

Facebook: Up to two posts a day can transform your Facebook page. Schedule them to go live at 1pm and 3pm to receive the most shares and clicks.

Twitter: Don’t overload your feed with tweets that turn off your followers. Up to three tweets a day maintains engagement. B2B accounts receive the most engagement on weekdays, and B2C on the weekends. 5pm sees the highest number of retweets, and the highest click through rates are at 12pm and 6pm.

LinkedIn: Posting once a day during the workweek is a preferred quantity. Most LinkedIn users are active between 7am-8am and 5pm-6pm. AdWeek suggests not posting on Monday and Friday if you’re based in the US!

Pinterest: Have some visual fun and post up to five new pins a day. Capitalize on the world’s pinners during 2am-4am and 8pm-11pm. Fashion and retail pins perform best on Fridays at 3pm- just in time for weekend shopping!

Instagram: Two posts a day are a good way to maintain engagement. Keep your photos relevant! Get snap happy during off work hours, although many Fortune 500 companies upload their photos during 3pm-4pm.
